SRS Trainz Content updates released
Phase 1 Complete
Lots of updates have been applied to the current freeware SRS Trainz content and now requires a minimum version of Trainz Simulator 12 with Service Pack 1 installed as all content has been bumped up to Trainz Build 3.7.
By doing this, it has allowed a lot more hidden errors to be revealed and fixed in the hopes to ensuring that they continue to work in newer versions of Trainz as long as possible.
Along with the updates, all content has been changed over to the 605579 kuid number to help issue updates quicker than before with having to manually change kuid numbers. Because lots of 3rd party reskins still reference the original SRS content kuid numbers, the original assets (called legacy assets) will still be included but all content creators are highly encouraged to update their items to reference the new kuid numbers.
So what’s next?
With the freeware content updates for SRS Trainz phrase 1 now finished, the next stop will be finishing and finalising the mobile version of Lafond Regional Railway and prepare it for be sent over to the beta testers to test it. During the beta testing phrase, phrase 2 of the SRS content release will start which will involve updating the payware content.
