Lafond regional railway is a rail line that runs 32.7 kilometres (20.3 mile) of track in the semi- prairie area in Canada. The payware category has expanded over the years that it was time to break it down into smaller categories.
Small Routes
Small routes can range anywhere from a simple industrial spur to 15-mile routes. Most of these routes doesn’t contain any mainline operations but they do focus mainly on the spur and branch line operations.
Medium Routes
Medium routes ranges from 16 miles to 49 miles in length and can cover a small region. Typically, these routes will have a yard and spurs / branches along with some mainline tracks.
Large Routes
Large routes start with at least 50 miles and can end up easily being over 100 miles in length. These kinds of routes mainly focus on the mainline operational side of things.
Model Trainz Routes
These kind of routes takes place in a virtual room giving the model train feeling (fun fact – this was the main purpose of Trainz back in the days). These routes are aimed for those that prefer to operate a model train without the full world scene. Model Trainz routes can range from a simple switching district to a full fledge mainline.
Sessions / Misc
These are simple payware addons (mainly for TS3) that adds extra gameplay or additional content for users to expand their Trainz collections.
